Surprisingly in March 2023, Just Tools in South Melbourne closed down. I say surprisingly, as I find it surprising when businesses that survived COVID-19 still somehow manage to survive and then fall over later. I guess Just Tools may have racked up some debt during that period or perhaps they experienced higher DIY sales during COVID-19 lockdowns and that market has since dried up.
Now, in September 2023 180 Clarendon St South Melbourne remains empty with all the old Just Tools branding still up. Promotions companies have started putting up signs for concerts on the windows.
