Another day, another recent Uber Eats lunch review. This time I was looking at nearby UberEats places with good bonuses and found that Yeah Birdy had a deal for extra fries, which is one of the rare things that my friend can actually eat due to allergies.
Yeah Birdy is a speciality fried chicken restaurant chain that appears to have originated in NSW. It has locations at North Rocks, Penrith, Guildford, Moorebank, Rydalmere, Mulgrave, Silverwater, Moore Park, and Seven Hills each in New South Wales and then in Victoria is just the Lonsdale Street location in Melbourne’s central business district.
Yeah Birdy Fried Chicken Review
I’ve ordered from Yeah Birdy twice officially and also attempted it one other time but the driver cancelled it when they were almost here… The first order was of the Chick Jagger burger with fries and shoestring fries (free). Then we also did an order with two orders of 3x cheeseburger spring rolls, mozzarella sticks and free shoestring fries.
All of these items were great, thus why I’ve returned a few times, yet I’ve somehow not had the fried chicken there since despite it being amazing.
Chick Jagger Sandwich
Our office is full of pictures of Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones, so perhaps this is why I ordered this sandwich. This was a while ago that I had it, but I recall being incredibly impressed with the quality. The bread was incredibly soft and the fried chicken was real pieces of fried chicken, possibly chicken thigh. Not processed or a schnitzel.
Shoestring Fries at Yeah Birdy
The default coating of the chips is a nice seasoning. When ordering for my friend who is allergic to everything, we had to do a workaround in Uber Eats where I added fries to my Chick Jagger, requesting them to have regular salt, and no seasoning as there is no dialogue box to customise them when ordered on their own. We did want two servings of fries, so it wasn’t an issue, I’m just noting it in case they’re giving away free fries again and we want to replicate the order. I chose not to include a photo of the fries without seasoning as it’s too similar to the above but less orange.
Mozzarella Sticks and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls
I’m always a big fan of mozzarella sticks and can’t say I’ve ever had one that wasn’t good. These ones here are as good as any. I’m also a big fan of cheeseburger spring rolls, these were quite good but don’t beat the homemade ones my friend makes. I would still buy them again though.
