I’ve been op shopping around South Melbourne and Port Melbourne for about 6 years now, and I’ve seen a few new additions to Bay Street in recent years, including the Uniting Op Shop at 302 Bay Street, which opened in 2024 and the Red Cross Shop Port Melbourne, which is also relatively new.
Prior to this, there was just Vinnies, Salvos and Epilepsy Foundation. I guess with the increase in competition, the smaller Epilepsy Foundation store must have taken a hit and moved onto to greener pastures on Sydney Road in Brunswick.
I’ve not been out to Sydney Road in years. I guess I’ll have to make a trip soon and check out the new Epilepsy Foundation Op Shop.
