The Merrywell Burger Bar at Crown Menu & Review

Today, being towards the end of March, I was trying to earn enough points to hit Silver tier at Crown to receive Free Parking for the next 6 months, so lunch at The Merrywell seemed like a good quick option to do on a quiet Wednesday.

I got Arthur and Devansh to come along and here’s what we ordered.

Wagyu Beef Sliders – $18

Tomato Sauce, Mustard, Pickles & Cheese

At first when I saw these I was a tiny bit disappointed in the size, this cost more than either other burger, but I forgot that this was Wagyu beef, which is typically more expensive and also a more premium product and I’ve gotta say, they were very good.

The first thing I noticed was how soft the bread was. I really like soft bread on burgers like this rather than toasted bread. So points for that. The second thing I noticed was that these little burgers were deceptively heavy. I think by weight, they probably aren’t too far off from the regular angus beef patties used there, but maybe they do them as sliders to differentiate them in the kitchen. The beef tasted great and was definitely a quality product, and everything about it from the melted American cheese to the thick pickles seemed like it was top quality. I’d definitely buy these again, perhaps with some fries as well and some dipping sauce!

Deluxe Beef Burger – $20

Angus Beef, Bacoon, Provolone Cheese, LEttuce, Tomato, Pickles, Onion Rings and Smoked Garlic Mayo

Arthur also commented that the bread was super soft and really good. He mentioned that it was way better than McDonald’s which shouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone, but he was very satisfied with his burger and is keen to return. He was surprised to hear how long this place has been around for. Being on the very edge of Crown, I guess it’s easy to miss for many people.

Spicy Chicken Burger $18

Crispy Chicken, Ranch, Double Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato and Pickles

Korean bbq sauce is really good and the outer layer of the chicken is really crispy.

It looks good, and ot tastes even better than how good it looks. The chicken was really crispy with awesome spicy Korean sauce that enriched the flavours. Alongside the salad was also good with a good amount of veggies and other sauce. For me, it was one of the best flavours of chicken to have with a burger.
