Today on the Market Street side of the Spotlight Centre, there are people from the City of Port Phillip surveying the following topics:
- Plan for Port Phillip (2025-2029)
- Community Engagement Policy Update
- Love Your Neighbourhood
They are writing down ideas, comments and feedback on sticky notes. Plus you can put 3 little stickers onto the boards to vote on what issues matter to you the most.
I told them that I love this area because it is quite convenient to get to from the Western Suburbs where I live. I was not too fond of the commute to previous workplaces in the busy Melbourne city centre or having to drive through Richmond or the tunnel to get to the Eastern Suburbs. My top issue was the lack of affordable all-day parking and issues regarding housing affordability in the area, as there are often homeless people begging in the streets.
